Welcome to Stories Week
We are excited to officially kick-off CMYFC Stories Week! Throughout the week we will be sharing stories from students, parents, community members, volunteers, and more, all about the great things happening through the ministry of Youth for Christ.
Stories will be released on our social media platforms at 9:00 am, Noon, and 5:00 pm. We encourage you to check in, interact with us, comment, and share these stories.
If you missed one, don’t worry. All of the stories will be added to our website at www.cmyfc.net/stories so feel free to go back and watch them when you’re able.
Thank you so much for joining us, here’s to an incredible week of stories!
Jeff Leppien’s Campus Life journey started years ago with him as a student in the Campus Life program. Now we are blessed to have him serving alongside us as our Board Chair. Even after all those years the mission remains the same, to reach young people with the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
“Because of Campus Life, I recommitted my life to Jesus.”
Small groups this year have been incredible. These spaces help build community, are places for real conversations, and provide opportunities to respond to the gospel. Elijah’s story speaks to the heart of our ministry, to reach students with the love of Christ.
We are so happy for Elijah and can’t wait to see how God will continue to move in his life.
“just getting to be their friend and mentor is priceless…”
Megan’s story speaks to not just what she give’s but what she receives through volunteering and leading small groups. Campus Life is only made possible by our fantastic volunteers, and we blessed to walk alongside such an amazing team that does whatever it takes to reach students.
A shoutout from Pastor Allan Cullen of Community Church, both as a community partner and as a parent of Campus Life students.
“I just remember knowing there was more… I searched and nothing worked… but Jesus was constant.”
Check out Myah’s story as she talks through her faith journey and experience in small groups this year.
“God has a plan for me, I just have to have faith in him.”
Cole’s story is one of of trial and tribulation, perseverance, and having faith in God’s plan.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ( Jeremiah 29:11)
Don and Lisa Sytsema
As parents and community members, Don and Lisa support Campus Life because they’ve seen firsthand the difference it’s made in their kids lives, and they want to see that same change across their community.
“There’s gotta be a reason…”
A place to make friends, a place to belong, a place to do life. Check out Jackson’s story and how he was impacted by Campus Life.
“It’s not like I’m just a volunteer… they’re like a family outside of my own family.”
Matt invests in students each week, but also feels invested in as well. Check out his story!
Fun, meaningful, positive and supportive. A shoutout from Board Member and parent, Becca Couch on why she loves Campus Life.
“Campus Life have helped get through the tough times…”
Making new friends, growing closer, and experiences you’ll never forget. Check out Aaron’s story!
Campus Life alumni Taylor White shares the impact that Campus Life has had on her during her years in the program.
